We have over 70 millstones in stock, mostly collected from around the South. All are listed online with a picture, provenance, dimensions, pricing; everything we know, you know. All of these are genuine, the real McCoy, and were used in a mill. Arranged by diameter, pick from relics that are 30 inches in diameter all the way up to 48 inches in diameter. These weigh anywhere from 200 lbs. up to a ton or more depending on their thickness. We've shipped Greenwich, Napa, Portland, Chicago, Dallas, so we can get this to you. We have a total of fifty cast iron syrup kettles in stock. These were widely used in cane syrup production before the invention of the evaporator pan in the early 1900's. These make great containers, but also great fountain bases, and even fire pots. Most are wide brimmed, pan type that were cast at foundrys around the South. Some carry founders marks including Chattanooga, Macon, Savannah, and Columbus. Some are plain with no marks at all. They are categorized by gallon volume in fifty, sixty, eighty and a hundred gallons. Dimensions are included. We also have some pots that are more typical in shape, and I've heard people near the sea in Richmond, Charleston, and Mobile call them salt pots. See more kettles. |
We combine some of our smaller millstones and kettle bases to create fountains and an image of a millstone floating on water. They are generally a combination of 20" to 30" millstones combined with fifty to hundred gallon kettles. The millstones and the kettles are antiques and make great low maintenance focal points for driveway turnarounds or patio, even sunroom water features. The pumps are warranted for a year and require a straight 120 volt receptacle nearby. The water recirculates so you only fill the fountain once. |
